At Glen Island Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, our in-house team of highly skilled professionals is dedicated to assuring that our patients' maximum quality of life is restored after the impact of illness or injury. These services are available 7 days a week as prescribed by a physician.

To do so, we offer a broad band of rehabilitation services including:

We offer state of the art rehabilitative technology, including:  

Diapulse Machine

The Diapulse machine is used in the treatment of wounds by releasing high-frequency electromagnetic waves to aide in the healing process by increasing blood flow to the area without increasing pulse rate or blood pressure.  

Ultrasound Bone Healing System

The ultrasound bone healing system offers a non-invasive treatment of fractures, during physical and/or occupational therapy and accelerates the healing time of radical and tibial fractures in mature individuals.  

Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) Machine

For individuals who recently had knee replacement/arthroplastry, ACL reconstruction surgery and other knee conditions, Glen Island Center offers the Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) machine for postoperative treatment. The use of this machine offers many benefits:

• early movement or range of motion (ROM)
• decreased edema
• less stiffness and pain
• prevents adhesions that limit joint motion
• shorter recovery/rehabilitation

In addition to the highest levels of technical expertise, we are focused on the dignity, comfort and independence of our patients.  

Patients are admitted under several financial programs, including Medicare/Medicaid or private insurance.  A deputized Medicaid worker is on premise to provide information and/or assist in the Medicaid application process.
