At Glen Island Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, we recognize the special need of people with Alzheimer's disease and other related memory impairments. Our Alzheimer and dementia care services are designed to involve residents in everyday activities in which they can enjoy and feel successful. Our aim is to ensure our residents get as much or as little help as they require, enabling them to enjoy living comfortably. 
 
If a loved one is suffering from Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, it can take a tremendous toll on a care giver's physical and emotional well-being. 
 
There's no need to go it alone. At Glen Island Center, we create customized care plans that change as your loved one's needs change. We also help your loved one cope better by using a program that stimulates his/her ability to remember and we carefully monitor everything from medication to daily activities. As experts in Alzheimer's and dementia care, we are focused on the dignity, comfort and independence of our patients. Patients are admitted under several financial programs, including Medicare/Medicaid or private insurance.  A deputized Medicaid worker is on premise to provide information and/or assist in the Medicaid application process.
